The Belgian development cooperation will continue to contribute to the objective of zero sexual and gender based violence.We will continue to support a Programme against sexual violence in DR Congo. The program implements a multi-sectoral approach that considers medical, psychosocial, legal and socio-economic care, and is based on the specific role of the health sector. It contributes to the implementation of the National Strategy for Combating Gender-Based Violence.The programme has just been extended for one more year, until the end of 2020.

Belgian development cooperation will continue to contribute to the ICPD Programme of Action through its bilateral cooperation mainly in 5 partner countries. We will continue to support programs that focus on: reducing maternal mortality, promoting family planning, promoting adolescent sexual and reproductive health and combating sexual and gender-based violence, including prevention and care of survivors.See below the different programs: Benin : Promotion of Rights and Access to Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRHR) (until 2023); Burkina Faso : Sexual and Reproductive Rights - (until 2023); Guinea : Sexual and Reproductive Rights - (until 2023); Rwanda : Sexual reproductive health (SRH) - Result based financing (RBF) (until 2024); Senegal : Promotion of the health of women, newborns, children and adolescents (until 2024).
