Sexual and Gender Based Violence
Albania commits to: 0 GBV including harmful practices, 0 unmet need for FP, 0 maternal deaths.
1. Increase financing for reproductive, maternal, newborn and adolescent health by increasing budget allocation by 30% by 2025 through Gender Resource Budgeting;
2. To intensify efforts to achieve universal access to sexual and reproductive health as a part of universal health coverage by strengthening national cervical cancer screening programme and establishing breast cancer screening by 2020;
3. We commit to strengthen multi-sectoral response to GBV and GBV Referral Mechanism and make it functional in all 61 municipalities of Albania by 2022;
4. Increase the budget for social services through GRB initiative, and especially the domestic and gender based violence survivors by 25 percent by 2025;
5. To develop and endorse the Law on Gender-based Violence by 2021;
6. We commit to implement the National Action Plan for Elderly 2020-2025, by allocating respective budget and monitoring its implementation step by step and make the necessary legal provisions by 2023.
7. We commit to improve quality of youth friendly services within the basic package of primary health care, through dissemination of standards, guidelines and protocols, capacity building of providers and reaching out young people with information to increase demand for these services by 2025;
8. We commit to approve the Youth Law by 2020; to scale up and implement comprehensive sexuality education nationally by 2022.
